NEW WAX FORMULA EFFECTIVE September 2017 -- our wax now contains a custom blend of 100% paraffin waxes (firm, but easily sliceable -- no heating required) -- CURE TIME NO LONGER REQUIRED! :)
Our Wax Melt Cups are an affordable way to try some of our scents. Each 2oz cup holds approximately 1.5 ounces of wax. While these are not listed in our RTS (ready to ship) section, I do try to keep them poured and in stock for quicker shipping. Due to the handmade nature, colors will vary batch to batch -- life is too short not to play with all the colors! Available scents and descriptions are listed below.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to our new wax formula, we are offering our new scents, as well as some of our regular scents and a few limited blenders through November 30th. From December 1st forward, only new scents and maybe some limited blenders will be offered in this size for two months at a time to give you time to try them. What are limited blenders? They are blends of 2 or 3 scents from our regular lineup blended together into one scent. If you fall in love, you have the option to recreate the scent in our CYO (create your own) section.
Wax Melt FAQ
Q: What kind of wax do you use?
A: Effective September 2017 -- our wax is now a custom blend of 100% paraffin waxes. We formulated it to be firm, but easily sliceable.
Q: Do I need to cure your wax?
A: No, you do not. It is ready to melt when you receive it, but you are certainly welcome to cure if you wish. I'm not the boss of you ;)
Q: What kind of warmer works best with your new wax?
A: I tested our new formula in a Glade 13-watt, Glade 20-Watt, and a 24-watt warmer (all hotplate styles). I personally didn't find the 13-watt to be strong enough for many scents. The 20-watt performed well with the majority of scents -- this wattage gave a nice throw and allowed the scent to linger longer. The 24-watt gave a banging throw on most scents, but the scent didn't last as long (tip if using this wattage: turn off the melter once it has melted and permeated the air -- turn on again later and repeat the process until the scent is gone). I did not test in any bulb warmers. I encourage you to try different warmer styles and wattages to find what works best for you and your home.
